The Carbon Protocol of SA was established as a collaborative entity of concerned and interested parties within South Africa,
with the aim of raising awareness and facilitating the transition to a climate resilient society.

What we do

Carbon Protocol of SA Logo

Maintaining and managing The Carbon Neutral Logo for our members to benefit from this credible way of portraying carbon footprint and offset for products and/or part of processes (i.e. annual business report, fleet process, etc.)

Providing an independent platform for the hosting of Programme of Activities (POA) as part of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects under the Kyoto Protocol. The Carbon Protocol of SA acts as the Coordinating and Management Entity (CME) for these POA’s.

Hosting, maintaining and managing a Carbon Assessors and Offset Service Providers database to create a network of relationships in South Africa to further the low carbon economy.

Providing a platform for the sharing of information through our newsletter, blog, and other relevant resources such as training courses and events in South Africa.
